§ 98-508. Service units.

Latest version.
  • (a)

Service units are established in accordance with generally accepted engineering and planning standards.

    (b)

The water and sanitary sewer impact fees per service unit shall be calculated based on standard water meter sizes as set forth in exhibit "A", or alternatively, as approved by the city manager, based on the recommendation of the city engineer as a result of an engineering report prepared by a qualified professional engineer licensed to perform such professional engineering services in the State of Texas, which demonstrates that the number of service units for the category of service of the new development will be different than the standard service unit.

    (c)

No impact fee shall be assessed or collected for a fire flow connection. However, if routine water service that is not related to fire protection is detected at a fire flow connection, the applicable impact fee will be assessed and based on the typical size of meter required to provide service for the residential, commercial or industrial property.
