§ 98-119. Same—Separation of pipes; excavations.

Any person desiring to lay pipes for water, gas, steam or any purpose, in any street or alley upon which sewers are laid, shall separate same at least ten feet if running parallel to the sewer line. Twenty-four hours' notice shall be given before opening the street or alley; the manner of excavating the trenches and laying the pipe and backfilling over the same shall be subject to the approval of the director of the water and sewer department.
