§ 86-2. Diversion of natural flow of water—Permit required.

  • No person, including any governmental agency, shall commence any project which has the effect of diverting in any way the natural flow of water in the city, unless such person has first received a permit for the completion of such project from the city council, and has complied with the terms of sections 86-3 through 86-5. These sections shall be operative if the natural flow of water within the city is diverted, even if the actual project is constructed or located outside of the city if all or any portion of the project is located within one mile of the city.
