§ 66-23. False call, illegal use of alarm; tampering with alarm box.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person in the city to turn on or send in any false call or alarm for the purpose of attracting the attention of the police, or any police officer, or to wrongly use any police whistle or any other instrument used by the police or traffic officers, or to imitate any signal used by police or other officers, or to molest or tamper with any police alarm box, telephone, radio, or other instrument used by police officers in communicating or signaling one another, or to turn in any false alarm to any city official.
