§ 5.07. Power to tax.

The city council shall have full power to provide for the prompt collection of taxes imposed and the procedures, time limits, interest, penalties and methods of levying, imposing, assessing and collecting taxes shall be those prescribed by state law. The council shall impose such ad valorem taxes as are necessary to support the budget.
