§ 98-182. Same—Application.

  • Before extending lines into the city or acquiring additional customers within the city such private water or sewer utility company must first make application, in writing, for a permit to extend its lines or acquire additional customers. Such application must set forth the name and address of the utility company and contain a statement embracing the proposed plan of operation within the city; such application must be accompanied by a plat showing lines, valves, fireplugs, manholes and proposed connections of both water and sewer utilities; each application must be accompanied by a detailed plan showing proposed sources of water and proposed methods of disposing of sewage; such application must be accompanied by a permit fee of $1.00 per 100 feet of mainline extension and a fee of $50.00 per house for each house proposed to be served by such water and sewer utility company. Such application must be accompanied by a financial statement showing the assets, liabilities and net worth of such private utility company and showing the value of the proposed extensions.
