§ 98-5. Rates and charges for services.

  • (a)

    All water and sewer customers of the city will be required to pay the rates set forth in this Chapter. In addition, water and sewer customers shall pay the charges outlined in Appendix C, Fee Schedule, for service charges rendered by Haltom City. The services shall be implemented in accordance with water and sewer department policy in effect at the time of implementation. The city council may review the schedule of fees in Appendix C at any time and may, by resolution, increase or decrease said fees within the schedule upon a determination that said increase or decrease is warranted.

    (b)

    Deposits for commercial and residential accounts as outlined in Appendix C, Fee Schedule, may be refunded pursuant to the following criteria:

    (1)

    An account must be at least two years old.

    (2)

    The account can have no warning letters issued against it during the immediate previous two-year period.

    (3)

    During the immediate past two years, no more than two late penalties have been applied to the account.

    (4)

    A deposit requirement will be reinstated if:

    A.

    The account is closed for nonpayment (will require a risk deposit); or

    B.

    If a single "hot check" is received on the account (will require a standard deposit).
