§ 82-7. Prohibitions.

  • The following signs are absolutely prohibited in any district zoned or un-zoned within the corporate limits in the City of Haltom City:

    (1)

    Signs which imitate or resemble any official traffic sign, signal or device or using a revolving beam or beacon resembling any emergency vehicle.

    (2)

    Signs which are erected or maintained upon trees or which are painted or drawn upon rocks or other natural features.

    (3)

    Signs which are placed upon utility poles or traffic control devices, or in the street right-of-way.

    (4)

    Roof signs.

    (5)

    Signs painted on the building.

    (6)

    Signs which include visual depiction of sexual areas of human form in such a manner that the areas of the buttocks, genitals, or the pubic area, or any portions of the female breasts below the top of the nipple, shall be maintained, erected, or placed upon or adjacent to any building where it is visible from a public street or from an adjacent building or premises.

    Display of signs under subsection (6) shall also be declared a public nuisance.
