§ 70-1. Definitions.

(a)

The word "park" or "parks" when used in this chapter shall be held to mean and include all that land that may be selected, obtained, or acquired by the city for use as parks, parkways, esplanades, median strips or grounds.

(b)

The word "playground" or "playgrounds" when used in this chapter shall be held to mean and include those areas of land that may from time to time be placed under the control of and used by the city park and recreation department through the courtesy and in cooperation with the Birdville Independent School District or any other agency, corporation, or individual.
