§ 58-40. Juvenile Case Manager Fund.

  • (a)

    The City Council of the City of Haltom City, Texas, hereby establishes a Juvenile Case Manager Fund. In order to fund the Juvenile Case Manager Fund, a defendant convicted of a fine-only misdemeanor offense in the Municipal Court shall pay a Juvenile Case Manager Fee not to exceed $5.00 per offense as a cost of the court. The term "convicted," as used herein is used pursuant to the definition given in Article 102.0174, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure;

    (b)

    The fee shall be collected by the clerk of the Court beginning May 1, 2007;

    (c)

    The fund designated by this Ordinance shall be used solely to finance the salary and benefits of the Juvenile Case Manager;

    (d)

    The Municipal Judge is authorized to waive the Juvenile Case Manager Fee in case of financial hardship; and

    (e)

    The fund designated by this Ordinance shall be administered by or under the direction of the City Council of the City of Haltom City, Texas.
