§ 54-102. Miscellaneous requirements.

  • (a)

    Responsibilities of the park management:

    (1)

    The licensee or his agent shall operate the park in compliance with this and other applicable ordinances and shall provide adequate supervision to maintain the park, its facilities and equipment in good repair and in clean and sanitary condition.

    (2)

    The licensee or agent shall notify park occupants of all applicable provisions of this chapter and inform them of their duties and responsibilities under this chapter.

    (3)

    The licensee or agent shall maintain a register of park occupancy which shall contain the following information:

    a.

    Name and address of the park occupants.

    b.

    Registration of the towing vehicle.

    c.

    Date of arrival and departure.

    A new register shall be initiated on January 1 of each year, and the old register may thereafter be retired but shall be retained on the premises for at least three years following its retirement. Registers shall be available for inspection at all reasonable times by any official of the city whose duties may necessitate access to the information contained therein.

    (b)

    Service and inspection fee:

    (1)

    A service and inspection fee of $1.50 per month or fractional part thereof is hereby imposed on all travel trailers and mobile homes, payable to the city; provided, however, no fee is imposed upon transient trailers remaining in the city not more than three days.

    (2)

    The licensee of each trailer park shall make demand upon and collect from the occupants of each mobile home in his park the service and inspection fee imposed by this section. Such licensee shall pay the amounts so collected by him to the city secretary within ten days after the expiration of each calendar month. Such licensee shall be furnished by the city with printed receipt forms in quadruplicate, which shall be filled out by the licensee showing the name of the person making the payment; the make, model, length and license number of the mobile home; the amount paid, and also the period of the time for which such payment is made. The original receipt shall be delivered to the person making the payment, and two copies shall be delivered to the city secretary; the licensee shall keep the remaining copy.

    (c)

    Notice of trailers and mobile homes where fee not paid:

    (1)

    It shall be the duty of the licensee of each trailer park to notify the city secretary, or some other person designated by him, of each trailer in his park on which the service and inspection fee is unpaid, giving the make, model, length and license number of the trailer, and the names of each resident or occupant thereof. Such notice shall be given one week following the date of such delinquency.

    (2)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to reside in or to otherwise occupy a trailer on which the service and inspection fee has not been paid.
