§ 34-12. Sprinkler and standpipe requirements in multistory buildings.

  • (a)

    Complete sprinkler systems shall be installed in all buildings, regardless of type of construction, exceeding three stories or more than 35 feet in height in districts R-5 through M-2.

    (b)

    All floors shall be provided with valves, outlets and related equipment with specified pressure installed exclusively for firefighting.

    (c)

    All buildings regardless of type of construction three stories not exceeding 35 feet shall be equipped with one or more standpipes providing valves, outlets, and related equipment to the second and third floors installed exclusively for fighting fires in districts R-5 through M-2.
