§ 2-3. Smoking in council chamber restricted; penalty for violation.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to smoke or possess a lighted cigarette, cigar, pipe, or any other smoke-producing device in the city council chambers during any public meeting.

    (b)

    It shall be required that "no smoking" signs be prominently displayed in the city council chambers and that receptacles for disposition of cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or other smoke-producing devices be available.

    (c)

    Any person violating any portion of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and fined an amount not less than $10.00 or more than $50.00.
