§ 4. Zoning districts.

    Purpose. In order to regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings erected, reconstructed, altered or enlarged for specified uses, to regulate and limit the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected, reconstructed, altered or enlarged, to regulate and determine the area of yards and other open spaces and to regulate and limit the density of population, the city is hereby divided into 17 zoning districts to be known as follows:

    "SF-1" Single family residential district, or district "SF-1"
    "SF-2" Single family district, or district "SF-2"
    "D" Duplex residential district, or district "D"
    "TH" Townhouse residential district, or district "TH"
    "MF-1" Multiple family residential district, or district "MF-1"
    "MF-2" Multiple family residential district, or district "MF-2"
    "MH" Manufactured housing district, or district "MH"
    "O" Office district, or district "O"
    "C-1" Commercial district, or district "C-1"
    "C-2" Commercial district, or district "C-2"
    "C-3" Commercial district, or district "C-3"
    "C-4" Commercial district, or district "C-4"
    "C-5" Commercial district, or district "C-5"
    "M-1" Industrial district, or district "M-1"
    "M-2" Heavy industrial district, or district "M-2"
    "BP" Business park district, or district "BP"
    "PD" Planned development district, or district "PD"
